Ah Friday, we meet again. I say that like I haven’t spent the last two weeks sipping my way through Japan (coffee, obviously). Via planes and trains and automobiles, I found myself scrolling and saving a lot this week, like:

Erin Wasson Brings a Touch of Her Effortlessly- Cool Style to Cécile Food Club
We agree that Erin Wasson is like, the queen of cool, right? Ok, good. So it’s no surprise that her newest endeavor, Cécile Food Club, a small café on the Corniche in Marseille, brings that vibe to life in physical location. It feels like a string bikini damp from a morning dip in the sea, hair tangled down your back, the glow you only really achieve on a summer vacation, the first sip of coffee sitting in a sunlit nook…

Infinite Curiosity in The Margot Magazine
I can’t get enough of The Margot Magazine. Their profiles are on point: just look at this peek into fashion illustrator Mokshini’s studio. Issue 4 is all about the power of creativity, and it’s a treat best enjoyed over coffee.
Thursday Plans: Zine Swap at Saturdays
Saturdays (with @friendeditions and @colinsuss) is hosting a zine swap on Thursday, September 21st, at their Crosby St. location (6-9pm). Old or new, add 10-15 copies of your zine to the table and feel free to grab whichever zines you like. This kind of feels like early-days Saturdays, when you could sit out back and sip coffee for hours, next to wetsuits dripping from a morning surf.
Come On Barbie, Let’s go Build a Brand
What’s it like to design a brand? And even cooler, what’s it like to design a fake brand? It’s Nice That talks designing a brand for a fictional world, with the graphics team behind the Barbie film, Wes Anderson’s go-to graphic designer, motion designer and 3D artist Lorenzo Bernini, and Adult Swim’s president Michael Ouweleen.
“When the brand is the world, each individual item essentially becomes brandless – which was an exciting idea to play with.”
